The company was incorporated on 18 December 2000 (2057/09/03 BS) as a private company and converted to a public limited company on 13 March 2017. Rudi-A commenced commercial operation on 19 March 2019 and Rudi-B on 17 February 2020. Both projects are commercially operational and supply power to the national grid. The company's authorized share capital is reported at NPR 2 billion.
